May 2021 Newsletter: Turner's Modern World, Tate Britain

On 23.5.2021 Mary Zagoritou of Mary Zagoritou Gallery visited Turner's Modern World, in Tate Britain, Pimlico, London, an early morning slot at Member's Hours booked ages ago due to the social distances limitations and policies. According to our romantic painter Constable, Turner is painting with steam. This exhibition is a mind opener into Turner's interest in the modern life develpments in British life and abroad: paintings of steam technology, the legacy of Napoleon’s rise and fall, the Greek Independence War, the
history of an old oak and its role to ship building, the slaves and the Liberal ideas.
